Grenadian Producer cops award for Best Producer at 2012 AE Awards

Grenadian Producer, Radford Ettienne has coped the prestigious award for ‘Best Producer’ in this year’s African Entertainment Awards (AE Awards) ceremony recently held in Toronto, Canada. Radford who has worked in the in the industry for many years dating back to his native Grenada is widely respected in Canadian music circles. Highlights include hits with artists such as Shugga, Grenadian soca sensation, Mr. Killa, Young sound, White wine and currently, Canada’s Top female reggae singer Tonya P.

Radford first drew the attention of the music populace with his singing and producing debut alongside singer Psychobob in a track entitled ‘Ride on’.  Radford’s versatility across various musical genres and ear for the unique are widely acclaimed and were huge contributing factors to his recent success.

The AE Awards (Canada) which was held for the first time in 2011 aims to “celebrate cutting edge developments and forward thinkers shaping the future of the African entertainment industry, thereby honoring, innovations, entrepreneurship and brand development.” The AE Awards (Canada) is the brainchild of Stash House Entertainment, founded by one of Nigeria’s fastest emerging entrepreneurs, Kunle Adekale — also the inspiration behind the All For Love Foundation, a charitable organization that focuses on supporting less privileged kids in Africa.
