Many people are totally baffled by the level of energy and time commitment I put into organizing community events, particularly where the Grenadian community is concerned.  To say I love my country, my sweet isle of spice is an understatement but that’s not all. There is nothing that fires my spirit more than to create an event, an avenue for some kind of learning; be it cultural, family or resource oriented. I love creating avenues where people can congregate to renew old friendships, create new ones while being also handed the opportunity to learn something new.

I also love the interacting, the opportunity to mingle with the young, the not so young and the very wise. The opportunity to build relationships, partnerships, friendships. The chance to hear a new story, to soak up some kind of knowledge especially from the young at heart. Add that to the chance to hone new skills, deal with new challenges and to bring my creative vision to life and I am in heaven!

Aside from all that though, is the satisfaction of knowing that the effort I have put into bringing this event to fruition has done some good even if it is to one individual.
